Calling All Educators & Parents!
The mental health crisis in our world… OH MY GOODNESS — has it gotten out of hand or what? My jaw drops everday of the morning news at the things I see and hear. Low self-esteem, self-doubt, depression, anger, anxiety — and the list goes on. Over the last several years, I’ve worked in the Mental Health field while learning alot about adults and children in many ways and I wholeheartedly believe it starts at home and in the classroom.
Teachers today juggle so many personality types in one room. Parents wrestle with raising children while competing with the influence of social media — which has become a game changer, for better or worse.
I’m always thinking of ways to make a difference, even in small ways, and that’s how I created my Affirmation Coloring Pages for teachers to use in classrooms (and for parents to use at home). You’ve seen adult coloring books being used for relaxation? They help people slow down, focus, and shift their mindset — and they work for kids, too!
Why not bring that same calming, confidence-boosting energy into the classroom? Sometimes teachers don’t even realize they may be the only positive voice in a child’s day. We can’t always know what’s happening behind closed doors, but we can plant seeds of hope and self-worth right where we are.
